Understand: Why is it happening?
- What is hydrophobic soil?Hydrophobic (water-repellent) soil sheds water instead of soaking it up.
- Why did fertiliser burn my lawn?Fertiliser burns grass when too much lands in one place or when it sits on the leaves in heat.
- Why is grass dying under my tree?Usually two things at once: not enough direct sun for your grass type, and the tree's roots taking most of the water and nutrients.
- Why is my buffalo going yellow? The most common causes are hunger (it needs a feed while it's growing), waterlogged or very dry soil, mowing too low, and the normal winter colour change in cooler areas.
- Why is my buffalo thinning out?The usual causes are too little sun, mowing too low, wear on the same paths, hunger, dry or compacted soil, and lawn grubs eating the roots.
