Cost and Coverage Calculator
How many applications does a pack cover for your lawn, and what does each application cost?
How far a pack goes
Enter your lawn area, the label rate and the pack size.
How it works
Comparing pack sizes by price alone can mislead, because products have different rates. This calculator works out how far a pack goes on your lawn and what each application costs.
Worked example
A 10 kg pack at a label rate of 25 g per m² covers 400 m². On a 200 m² lawn that's two applications per pack. If the pack costs $50, each application costs $25. (The rate and price only illustrate the maths.)
What you enter
- Lawn area in m²
- Label rate
- Pack size
- Pack price (optional)
What you get
- Applications per pack
- Area one pack covers
- Cost per application
Assumptions
- Rates come from the product label. Use the price on the pack or your receipt.
Questions
Is a bigger pack better value?
Often, but only if you'll use it before it expires or degrades. Check the label for storage and shelf-life directions.
